Beaverton, Ore.-April 13, 2010- Known to his family, friends and employees as simply “Al”, he passed away peacefully in his sleep last night while on a short vacation in Sarasota, Florida.

Al was recognized in Oregon as a life long supporter of many causes, but especially those enhancing the lives and education of young people. He was nationally known in the refrigerated foods industry as a pioneer. He is survived by his loving wife of over 50 years, Pat and their children: Mindy, Michelle, Mark, Mike and Marty.

Always a good humored, soft spoken, gentle man with an infectious smile; Al was loved by everyone who knew him.

Al’s family convey their sympathy to all those friends of Al who share their loss.
