RESER’S SELECTS TOP 10 POTATO SALAD RECIPES, ASKS AMERICA TO VOTE FOR FAVORITE

Beaverton, Ore. – August 17, 2012 – Reser’s “America’s Best Potato Salad Challenge” invited potato salad lovers to submit their favorite potato salad recipe featuring this potassium-packed vegetable. Home cooks and BBQ lovers across the country answered the call and submitted 606 recipe entries.
“Our judges tasted, analyzed and evaluated their way through some ‘creative’ new takes on this BBQ favorite. There was even a power drill involved in one of the recipe instructions,” shares Lacey Werner, assistant category manager. “We narrowed it down to ten, but now we need America’s help to select the top five.”

Potato salad fans across America are now invited to go to facebook.com/Resers and vote for their favorite recipe. Voting closes midnight PST on August 31, 2012. The top five recipe winners will receive $1,000, plus a $1,000 travel stipend to compete at the World Food Championships in Vegas where they will compete for the $10,000 grand prize. Contest updates will be posted by Reser’s on Facebook and Twitter.
