Reser’s Cares to Donate One Case of Potato Salad to Local Food Banks for Every Recipe Submitted
Beaverton, Ore. – April 15, 2014 – Reser’s third annual “America’s Best Potato Salad Challenge” is asking all food lovers to get creative and submit their best original potato salad recipe. Recipe submissions will be accepted from now until July 16. The top ten winners will each receive $750, plus a $1,000 travel stipend to compete (against five winners from the competitive BBQ circuit) at the America’s Best Potato Salad Challenge final, a featured competition at the World Food Championships. The grand prize winner will receive $5,000.

“This year, we’re adding a great way for consumers to make a difference in our communities,” said Teresa Carter, category manager at Reser’s. “For every recipe that we receive, Reser’s Carespromises to donate one case of potato salad to hunger organizations that serve our nation’s hungry.” The donation will be made in the name of the grand prize winner and announced in November. “Our goal is to reach 700 recipe submissions, which translates into enough potato salad to feed more than 13,200 families in need.”
Recipes will be evaluated based on appearance, taste and originality. Consumers are now invited to go to www.resers.com/potatosaladcontest to submit their recipe and find detailed contest information.
